JR. HIGH UNIFORM CLARIFICATION

We need to clarify the issue of acceptable uniform pants, both for boys and girls in the Jr. High. We realize that Harvey Uniform pants are somewhat more costly than other pants and therefore are willing to allow parents to purchase pants from other vendors. However, they must conform to the uniform style and color.

• Pants must be khaki colored. Many of the pants that students have been wearing for the first week of school are stone colored which is a much lighter shade than khaki. If you are not sure whether the color is acceptable, we suggest that you bring them in and let us see whether the color is correct.
• Pants must be a traditional dress pant style. This is particularly an issue with girls' pants. In particular:
• No bell bottoms. Pants must be straight legged.
• No low rise
• No jean styling, outside stitching or rivets
• No cargo pockets
• Must have belt loops and be worn with a belt

Just a reminder - socks must be high enough to be visible above the top of the shoe. Athletic shoes are allowed only with summer uniforms and gym uniforms.
